History:

The Outer Rim Sabacc League (ORSL) was created to bring Star Wars–inspired sabacc out of the cantina and into a living, growing community. What began as a passion project quickly evolved into a league built around fair play, immersive lore, and a shared love of the galaxy’s most iconic card game.

ORSL was originally founded by Jeremy Oneail and Stephen Shellenbean, whose vision helped establish the league’s foundation, early rulesets, and community-driven spirit. Their work laid the groundwork for what ORSL would become—a place where sabacc is treated not just as a game, but as part of Star Wars culture.

In April 2024, ownership of the Outer Rim Sabacc League transitioned to Mike and Emily, the owners of Hyperspace Props. Since then, ORSL has entered a new chapter focused on long-term growth, expanded resources, and deeper immersion—while staying true to the spirit and community that made the league possible in the first place.
